Purpose
The purpose of Not My Family.org is to provide support for families who are facing child molestation. Since it's inception in the brain of its founder, she has learned of 5 families that touch hers, that have gone through, or are going through healing from a molestation... and these people had no knowledge that this site was even being concieved. How many more that she knows are going through this, but too embarrassed or ashamed to ask for help?
The last statistic I heard said that 2 out of 3 girls are molested. That's a staggering number, and one that I can't forget. I have 3 daughters, and 2 out of the 3 have been down that path.
We need to stop the craziness, and we need to make sure that people know they are not alone. How are we to heal if we have no support? Join our forum board... it's early days yet, but as time goes hopefully more will join. Share your story, so that others know they are not alone. Parents, encourage your children to join. Nothing will be posted to the site that has not been reviewed by our staff. Everything done here will remain anonymous.
